post # 480 — Thursday, December 27, 2007 — a Strategy and the Fat Smoker post

Ebook of Fat Smoker available now

The hardback version of STRATEGY AND THE FAT SMOKER will be published next week  (January 2)  but the ebook version  is available now from Atlas Books. It costs US$11.99, compared to the list price of US$29.99 for the hardback.

The hardback can be pre-ordered, at discount prices, from Amazon.com, 800CEOREAD.com and other online bookstores. I don't know yet how many real-world bookstores will carry it, but we have had some preliminary orders from the mainstream wholesalers, so the signs are encouraging for a self-published book.

Order your copy of David Maister’s new book, Strategy and the Fat Smoker today!

David - I ordered the book from Amazon and am very much looking forward to its arrival next week! I did chuckle at the Bob Sutton testimonial describing him as the author of "The Knowing-Doing Gap," which he most certainly is; as opposed to the author of the tome he released earlier this year...:)

Happy holidays!

It was HIS idea, since I refer to The Knowing -Doing Gap in my book's introduction.

I highly recomend everyone order and read his/her copy right away.

We all "do strategy" in some way or another.  Anywhere in your life you pratice these principles will created a high ROI for the cost of buying and time spent reading this book.

David,  why has the Amazon delivery date been pushed out until 2/2?

It's an Amazon problem with getting their inventory in. It should be resolved in a few days (I hope.)

If you check Barnes&Noble.com or 800CEOREAD.com you'll see the book being available immediately.

Blog Archive

As my blog has grown extensively over the past year, I've created a new dynamic blog archive for those of you who may be looking to dig through the earlier discussions.

Due to the ever-expanding nature of the conversation here, I’ve created this indexing system to help those of you that may be looking for earlier conversations. Click on any of the four main topics below to see their subcategories, and click the subcategories to see the relevant blog posts. Click here or on the x in the top corner at any point to return to the main blog page.

This is a beta version of the interface, and we plan to develop a more refined catgorization scheme but thought this early version would be useful.
